Prince William and Kate Middleton will not be commemorating Princess Charlotte’s sixth birthday on social media after they joined a social media boycott.
The couple, who shared a video showing their sweet family life, are supporting big name football clubs by staying away from Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for four days.
According to Mail Online, the pair had reportedly planned to mark the occasion by sharing pictures of their little girl on her sixth birthday on Sunday.
However, William, 38, tweeted on his official Kensington Royal twitter: “As president of the FA [Football Association] I join the entire football community in the social media boycott this weekend. W.”
Last year, Charlotte was celebrated with an adorable new photo of her on social media as she turned five.

They beamed with delight in the stunning photographs taken by Chris Floyd. at Kensington Palace this week.
Kate can be seen grinning at her husband as she nuzzles into his chest in one snap, while they gaze into each other’s eyes in the second.
