“Coming off the show has been bitter sweet for me as I flew home to go to the funeral of my beautiful grandma who passed away whilst I was in the villa.
“I’ve been taking the time since the show to mourn, reflect, and be back with my loved ones before returning to my social media.
“I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the support I have received at this difficult time, I truly appreciate everything.”
Her pals, including those she starred alongside in Love Island, rushed to the comment section to send her well-wishes.

While runner-up Chloe Burrows posted a string of love heart emojis.

Amid her heartbreak, there have been suggestion that Mary and Aaron have already split after leaving the villa.
During an appearance on Aftersun with Laura Whitmore, Mary said she hoped their romance would continue into the real world.
“It’s still early days for us. Even though it’s only been 10 days it feels like we’ve been seeing each other for months.
“We said we’re definitely going to give it a go on the outside.
“Obviously everything changes when you get out so we said we’re just going to cross each bridge as it comes to it.
“We’re definitely going to see each other on the outside,” she shared.
Aaron added: “We’ve already spoken about stuff we want to do when we’re outside. It’s exciting that we’ll be able to do normal couple stuff and form a deeper connection.”
The couple were dumped off the show after receiving the fewest amount of votes from the public.
Discussing their exit, Mary and Aaron were upbeat, saying they couldn’t wait to start their journey on the outside together.
“I bagged a worldie”, Aaron joked.
Mary coupled up with Dale Mehmet before getting with Aaron when he entered the villa, after he took her out on a date.
