Coronation Street favourite Kate Ford is known for her brunette locks.
But Kate, 44, who plays bad girl Tracy Barlow on the ITV soap, has wowed fans with a bold new look.
Kate took to her Instagram to share a selfie showing off her new blonder hair.
In her selfie she is pictured wearing a cream coat with a blue and white pin striped shirt underneath the coat.
She shared the snap with her 105k followers and simply captioned it, “Blonder!! X”
Fans of the actress took to Instagram to say how much they liked the new Kate. One fan said, “Beautiful x”.
While another gushed, “Oh my word!!! Look at those locks!!! Beautiful glow, healthy hair! Keep up being kind to yourself! Stunning!” With a heart eyes emoji.
Another fan took to Instagram and shared how she has taken inspiration from Kate’s style in the past. She said, “Beautiful – I copied your hairstyle once when you had blonde hair underneath darker blonde on top (around 2016 I think) now my hair looks like Abi’s hair” with a pink heart emoji.
Kate’s co-stars on the Cobbles also commented on the actress’ new hair style.
Samia Longchambon who plays Maria Conner, said, “Beauty” with a heart eyes emoji and red heart emoji.
Georgia Taylor who plays Toyah Battersby on Corrie also shared a heart eyes emoji on Kate’s post with past Corrie favourites Helen Flanagan and Shobna Gulati also commenting on the post with Helen sharing a heart eyes emoji and Shobna said, “You beauty x”.
Tracy is a favourite love-to-hate character on the Cobbles and we’ve watched her light up our screens, as one of the main antagonists, with storylines involving drugs, murder and many a feud with a host of Corrie characters over the years.
Any long-standing Corrie fan will smile at references to the young Tracy Barlow, stomping upstairs in a strop at No1 to play tapes in her bedroom.
But then, given her mum Deirdre’s chaotic love life, perhaps it’s no surprise she was a troubled teen.
Kate became the fourth actress to play Tracy when she joined in 2002, and she’s had a ball as the Weatherfield bad girl you just know is going to grow old disgracefully.
Miles away from her feisty character, Kate lives a much calmer life in her lavish south London home which she shares with her 12-year-old son Otis, whom she had with her TV producer ex-husband Jon Connerty.
