Brooke Shields ’ daughter Rowan has paid homage to her famous 1998 Golden Globes frock by wearing it to her prom.
The 18-year-old, who is the spitting image of her young mum, decided to ditch current fashion trends on her special night, and instead, opted for a vintage look which got the world talking back in the late nineties.
Blue Lagoon actress Brooke, 56, pulled the daring red frock from her wardrobe and gifted it to her daughter in a bid to make the special occasion even more memorable.
Brooke took to Instagram to share a stunning snap of the mother-daughter duo sharing a wholesome embrace as her daughter turned heads in the strapless gown that her mum wore while accepting her nomination for Best Actress for her role in Suddenly Susan back in 1998.
Alongside the gorgeous photograph, Brooke gushed over her ‘amazing’ daughter and admitted that she’s never been prouder of the incredible young woman she’s becoming.
The actress penned: “I thought it was a special night when I was nominated for a Golden Globe and wore this dress in 1998, but nothing could have prepared me to see my daughter wearing it to her prom.
“Proud mama,” she added.
It wasn’t long before Brooke’s famous friends and fans alike rushed to share their love after laying eyes on the special snaps.
“You both are so beautiful,” Ali Wentworth commented on the post.
Meanwhile, Helena Christensen wrote: “Congratulations to your beautiful funny smart girl.”
Another fan gushed: “Simply stunning. This is such a beautiful sentiment. Truly touching.”
“What a classy young lady. She looks amazing,” another wrote.
